WriteFreely
WriteFreely is a federated markdown-based platform for creating personal blogs.
It offers an editor and supports multi-blog publishing, allowing one account to manage several blogs without publicly revealing that they share the same owner.
The WriteFreely module is experimental. Stable operation is not yet guaranteed.
About SSO integration
The first user to log in becomes the only WriteFreely administrator. This role cannot be transferred later, so make sure the intended administrator logs in first.
- Users can only log in via SelfPrivacy SSO; password login and public registration are disabled.
For details, see what SSO is and how to use it.

Federation
WriteFreely can publish blogs to the Fediverse through ActivityPub. Federation is disabled by default and can be enabled in the service settings in the SelfPrivacy app.
When federation is enabled, people can follow a blog from Mastodon and other ActivityPub services. It looks like @blog@writefreely.YOUR.DOMAIN when the default subdomain is used.
Choose the final WriteFreely subdomain before enabling federation. Changing the subdomain afterward breaks existing Fediverse handles and follows.
